Two ways to find work

Federal

Finding a federal bid is easy. Knowing if it's worth your time is the hard part. We read the solicitation so you don't sink hours into a job you can't win.

  • A win score for your shop
  • Red flags: wired bids, CMMC, set-aside conflicts
  • Who held it last and what they got paid
  • What similar jobs pay, and subs to team up with

State & local

Every agency posts on its own site. We put state and local bids in one place, so you check one feed instead of ten.

  • One feed instead of checking every agency site
  • New sources added on an ongoing basis

We've got some residential leads too, though it's thinner in some areas.

Capture

Handle every customer inquiry

Put your link on your site or text it to a referral. New customers land in one inbox and get an instant reply with your name on it, and you get a draft follow-up ready to send. If someone goes quiet, it nudges them for you.

Get paid

Paid through escrow, no chasing the check

The customer funds the job up front. You get paid as soon as they approve the work, usually about two days. No invoicing, no waiting on net-30.

Contractor FAQs

Everything you need to know before getting started

How do payments work?

All new contractors start with escrow (funds held until work approved, reduced chargeback risk, payout in about 2 business days). After completing 3 projects and processing $5,000 in approved payments with 90%+ approval rating, you unlock Quick Pay (funds sent directly to your bank without approval hold, payout in about 2 business days via Stripe). Both options powered by Stripe with a 1% processing fee.

What happens if a homeowner cancels or disputes a payment?

Escrow: Funds remain safely held until both parties resolve the dispute. Quick Pay: Since funds bypass escrow approval, disputes may result in chargebacks (though less common for completed work). All communication, photos, and approvals are timestamped to protect you. Use escrow for maximum protection.

Can I use RenovationRoute with my own clients?

Yes! Many contractors invite their existing customers to use RenovationRoute for secure payments, project tracking, and documentation. It makes you look more professional and protects both sides.

Can I invite my crew?

Yes. You can add team members under your company profile so they can upload photos, update progress, and stay on schedule.

How can I increase my visibility?

Deliver projects on time, earn positive reviews, and verify your credentials. These factors boost your ranking in homeowner searches.

What types of jobs are on RenovationRoute?
