Founded by Jesse Edwards. When I was 16-17, I worked across different trades, spending about a month at a time learning fast and seeing what real work actually looks like. Later, I built a career in software and security. I grew frustrated with corporate environments that prioritize policy and margins over people. Too many companies charge too much, care too little, and treat that as normal. RenovationRoute exists to make renovations simpler, more accountable, and fair for both homeowners and contractors.

Our Story

From the Jobsite to creating software solutions

RenovationRoute is personal. I'm building it because I've seen how messy renovations get when there's no shared source of truth. I'm also building it because I want this company to stand for something: create real value, charge fairly, and use the upside to support causes that matter to local communities.

Early Trade Experience

As a teenager, Jesse worked across multiple trades for short stints (about a month each). It was enough time to learn how jobs really run: materials are late, surprises happen, and people need clarity not chaos.

The Real Problem

Homeowners struggle with unclear scope and fear of getting burned-taking off work just to have contractors not show up. Contractors struggle with tire-kickers, messy communication, and chasing payments. The gap is trust, documentation, and a simple way to keep everyone aligned.

Corporate Lessons (and Burnout)

After years in corporate software, Jesse saw both sides. One company he worked for (Japanese-based) had strong values and treated people well. Another cared more about squeezing margins than supporting its people. RenovationRoute is a reaction to that; build something useful, keep it simple, and treat people like humans.

RenovationRoute was built to keep projects efficient and clear: Fast clear scopes, milestone payments, change orders, and one place for the paper trail. The goal is fewer disputes and faster, fairer completions for both sides.

Our promise is simple: keep construction honest, affordable, and human. And as we grow, we're committed to never selling out, no corporate greed, no shifting morals. We'll put part of what we build toward something bigger than software: causes we care deeply about.
