Scope grew? Get it approved before it counts
Add a payment, change one, or remove one. Say what it is, what it costs, and why. The homeowner gets it as an action item and approves it before anything changes, so there is nothing to argue about at the end.
Requests expire in 3 days, and you can withdraw one any time before then.
Proof of every stage, in order
Progress photos, lien waivers, and receipts live on the job. Every payment, photo, message, and status change lands in the project record, next to the quote the customer accepted, frozen as it was.

FAQs
Common questions
How do payments work?
All new contractors start with held payments: your payout is held in Stripe until the homeowner approves the work, or until our team reviews the project record if a payout request goes unanswered for 14 days, which reduces chargeback risk. You unlock Quick Pay, which sends funds straight to your bank with no approval hold, after 3 completed projects, $5,000 in approved payments, a 90% or higher approval rating, 60 days on the account, and no open payment disputes or chargebacks. Both settle in 2 to 5 business days through Stripe. RenovationRoute keeps 1% of each payout and Stripe’s processing fee comes out of the same payment. The one other charge is a one-time $20 per project to unlock a homeowner’s contact details.
What happens if a homeowner cancels or disputes a payment?
Held payment: a payout that has not been released stays held while our team reviews the project record. Quick Pay: since funds skip the approval hold, disputes can turn into chargebacks, though that is less common for completed work. Every message, photo, and approval is timestamped to protect you. Use held payments for the most protection.
